Why Mother Tongue?

Most of us are ignorant when it comes to learning of our mother tongue. We know that English language is identified as the common and international language for communication around the world. True. Well, is it only enough to cover up the lessons of English? No. If you wish to speak any of the languages of the world, you won't reach anywhere without the knowledge of your mother tongue.
We think in our mother tongue. We are accustomed to it to an extent that you understand other languages only if you think it inside your mind by converting it into your mother tongue. You just do not bother about this conversion because it's from the subconscious mind.
For some of the people, mother tongue is a shameful language to speak upon due to their misconception that English is more powerful. Not true anyway. English is also a mother tongue for those people who were born there! My favourite language is English, but right after my mother tongue. So, everything starts with your own language and culture.
Mother tongue is similar to a mother. It helps us in every situation to think upon, to gain knowledge, to understand our culture and most importantly, to teach us how to TALK. I hope you got my idea.
To those who are yet to learn about their mother tongue- Try it, you'll never get exhausted by speaking in your mother tongue!!!
